You might want to consider a slave flash. I have a Panasonic FZ20 and I`ve used a Vivitar DF200 slave flashwith it, and it works great! The DF200 comes with a bracket that mounts to the bottom of the camera via the tri-pod mounting screw hole. Theslave is triggered by a built in light sensor that detects the flashfrom the small pop up flash built into the camera, and fires the slave at the same instant. The slave greatly extends light output. I believe the DF200 can be had for around $75 at a variety of on-line stores. There a variety of other slave flash units available. Good luck.
