Would like to improve my camera with external flash.

Have seen some great photos that are made with Nikon DSLrcameraand its SB800.

What is the comparative flash for Canon EOS350D....

could be speedlite 430 EX or 580 Ex.

The price is also important.

I have the 580 and have nothing but good things to say about it. I also use the BetterBeamer attachment from time to time. It really reaches out there.

I went with Sunpak's PZ40. It's compatible with Canon's eTTL system. At only $160 it was a better buy for me. Although the 580 is nice, its also very expensive.

I don't shoot Canon (other than an old rangefinder, if that counts). ;-).

But, I do keep up with most accessories, and pay attention to user comments.

I'd go with the 580EX if budget permits.

Another vote for the 580EX ... a very user-friendly and versatile unit.

cheers,

Hi, thanks for reply.....

well I checked the price it is not small differance:

580EX = 400eur (490 USD I think)

430 EX = 250eur(310 USD)

How about the differance in quality..... do you think that dvantages of 580 EX are worth of spendingadditional 150 eur?

I have the 580 for my 20D and am thrilled with its performance. It is very strong with great range. The other thing is you can tell it was designed for the EOS cameras with its smooth operation. I wouldn't trade mine!
