Have you used it as a slave flash outside? I purchased three of these for indoor and outdoor fill and accent lighting. Indoors they work well on the light stands. When i take the units outside they fire uncontrollably. Is there a remedy without having to use a cable?

I went ahead and ordered one of these flashes from B&H and it just arrived. I will see about taking some comparison photos (in the next day or two) using a couple of different flashes and post the results here for comparison.

What settings do you normally have your camera set to for optimal lighting?

I went to take some comparison photos over the weekend and found that the PC Male to PC Male sync cable that came with the flash has a broken pin on one end. I am having to get a replacement cable before I can use the FP-38 (anyone know where I can find a short cable?) but will post the photos as soon as I can.
