I understand the FZ50 has TTL capability. So I ask what flash would be appropriate?

yeah i'm just kind of curious if my sunpak 433d will work (using it with my fz30 now)...ttl would be great, otherwise if i can use it the way i do now (no ttl)...just don't know if the different hotshoe on the fz50 would make a difference...

the sunpak 433d is for a Canon with TTL

Any one know if they have the same pinout and if so compatible?

Thanks,

gunrock

HOpefully not really threadjacking...since if it does work....just another option for the above question...

I strongly suspect that Olympus TTL flash will also work
the pinout is identical
the model numbers are very similar
the flashes also look similar

another member was saying that Oly flashes are made at Pana

yeah i looked at my 433d for canon...only has 3 pins in a triangle pattern, the fz50 contact has the regular 3 it looks like, plus the fourth contact..so I am hoping and it looks like mine will still work the same it did on the fz30 anyway...too bad no ttl...

guess i'll be hunting ebay in the future :-)
