Dogsmoke-
I was able to purchase the Fuji S-700/S-5700 from Amazon here in the USA for $(US)210.00. http://www.buy.com has it at $(US) 197.00 with a coupon. It arrived today and I am really please with the camera. Attached is a photo of a seagull. Notice how sharp and very detailed the feathers are on the seagull's back. Sarah |

Dogsmoke-
Here is a photo sample from the S-5700/S-700 at the 10X optical zoom. The ladies were about 350 feet away from me. I was delighted with the sharpnes and fine detail in the photo. Sarah |

Very sharp. Same experience with me - as long as the light is enough there is no problem with the lens at all.

Steve-
Here is another S-5700/S-700 photo sample. It was taken with the Macro Mode at 9 inches, using Fuji's Intelligent Flash. The camera first "reads" the ambient light and then adds just enough flash to take the photo. No pp on this photo, I just resized it for posting. Sarah |

Goofas-
My Olympus E-300 is a fabulous camera. I have sold many photos taken with that E-300 and I really like it a lot. Nope, there is no way that I am going to sell it. Sarah |

I like the flash fill on macro - didn't know it could do that. Time to experiment...

Steve-
Yes, Fuji's Intelligent Flash is able to throttle back the flash very nicel with macros. Give it a spin. You will like it. Sarah |

I'm also looking at buying one of theese cameras, I think the 5600 has a super CCD sensor, does this make any difference?
Also i've read in some reviews that the 5700/700 has a lot of noise in low light conditions, is this noticable? |
