bag or case for 3800
Guys,
I would like to get a bag for my 3800. (as small as possible) I usually do not put the lens adapter on. Any suggestion ?? Thanks. Ken |
Quantaray Digital
I just picked up a Quantaray Digital Bag. The 3800 fits great w/o the lens adapter.

If you can find it, the "official" case for the FinePix 3800 is the Fuji Deluxe Leather Soft Case SC-FX304. I got a couple of hits when I put the code in a search engine. It's anywhere from USD $22 - 35. I have an order in for one at Buy.com for USD $22.10 (it's been on backorder for a while). Here's the link:

It depends on whether you want to carry ANYTHING else in the bag with the camera....I have a 2800 and always carry extra SmartMedia cards, a spare set of NiMh batteries and a small combo minipod/G-clamp in my LowePro D-Res 30AW case. It is 'weatherproof' (has a hidden nylon flap), a built-in wide belt loop and detachable shoulderstrap. Smaller bags would only fit the camera with no accessories at all, and that wasn't practical for me.

I am also looking for a bag for my new 3800. However, I am using the adapter and a UV filter so the bag needs to be a little bigger.
One that I found online that seems like it might work is "The Pod" http://www.roadwired.com/store/Product.cfm?Productid=57 The dimensions seem like it should fit the 3800 with the lens facing the bottom of the bag (Is that bad for the camera??) |
I found a large Eddie Baurer digital camera bag that the 3800 fits fine with the lens adapter on if you sit it so the back of the camera is at the bottom. I found it at Target.
