Can S5000 use the 512Mb xD card made by Olympus??
hewy there everyone.
i have been looking one memory on the move and seen that they only have olympus xD memory cards. can the S5000 use the 512Mb one or will i be restricted to using the 256Mb card made by fuji? thanks. |

XD memory is the same, Fuji or Olympus. Neither company makes this media. Only the "name" is on it. Not totally sure, but believe it is manufacture by Toshiba. That explains the cost everyone complains about.

Olympus media differs from the Fuji media in that Olympus has a panaroma feature program into the card. Other than the panaoram coding either card is interchangeable.

btw: what is this panorama function good for?
I got a Fuji A204 and an Olypmus xD card with pano function, but I never figured it out. :? |
