Fuji 5000 view finder

After weeks of internet research I went out to buy a S5000 tonight. Thought I had found the ideal camera

One look throught the view finder and it's back to the drawing board. The resolution is terrible. Fuzzy and pixilated. I couldn't make out the letters of a sign 100 feet away. No amount of lense focus? adjustment made any appreciably improvement. Picked up an HP 850 and the image through the view finder was clear like an SLR. Is this to be expected. The Best Buy sales person not much help.

Looks like i'll wait for the Minolta Z!

the reason for the clarity difference is that the fuji s5000 has 110,000 pixels for the evf asn the hp850 has 230,000 pixel equivalent in it's evf. that's more than 2x and that will show a big difference in clarity.
