Also on my second set of batteries I was able to get closer to 500 shots, before the camera quit - the red low level battery light came on at 170 shots. dave[/QUOTE] Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I'm starting to see a trend here. Think maybe the battery meter is not quite the ticket? ![]()

Some more pics from the zoo. Hit my Flickr limit for the month. Will have to find another host for more pics.

Yes, it's pretty sweet; except the part where my P mode pics were all under exposed and had a green cast -- due to user error. I had accidentally turned on external flash in the settings, found out what I had done only after coming home and checking the EXIF

I'm using a B+W glass uv filter / lens protector with my older panasonic fz50, and a CPL from Hoya. I'm considering getting 58mm versions for the HS10. |

A little experiment. I shot this sunset in manual mode and in the "Scene" mode for sunsets. While it may be more dramatic in the scene mode, I don't care for it.

Some moon shots with the HS10. Got a clear night so thought I'd try again. Just a one-click sharpen in Picasa.
