No one has brought up Fuji's latest superzoom bridge camera on these forums even though the camera was introduced shortly after the new year:
http://www.fujifilm.com/news/n140106_03.html The S1 is like the existing SL1000 with a few improvements, most noteably weather resistance, the first camera in its class to have it. But the S1's 24-1200mm zoom lens is a bit faster than the SL1000's: f/3.5-5.6 versus f/2.9-6.5. The S1 also features five-axis image stabilization, and decent-resolution electronic viewfinder and rear LCD (920K dots in both cases). We'll have to wait for the reviews but thus one seems to have some promise. List price: $499. |

I guess many are still waiting for a proper review prior to commenting...
I will say that the inclusion of "weather resistance" is a big plus and if proves effective (for Welsh weather...??) will be quite a significant feature for many. |
