I have the FujiFilm FinePix s1000fd and when I take pictures, the majority of them don't come in clear and there's a lot of noise on most of them.
Does anyone know how I could fix this? I'm sorry the picture is so big, I don't know how to link a smaller one to the fullsize picture. ![]() |

Haunted,
Welcome to the forum. Hate to say it but...a picture is worth a thousand words... ..sorry... Post a couple of pics - directly to this forum - with EXIF attached, and maybe one of our experts can help you out. And if they can't, maybe I'll give it a try... the Hun |

Exchangeable Information File format...it is a standard for storing data in digital images. Basically, all of your camera's settings are encoded in every picture you take. Handy to be able to pull it up and look at it from time to time - especially when you're having a problem. The reason I asked you to post some pics directly to this forum and not through a link, is that many linked sites strip all of the EXIF data from the pics. The pic you posted, besides being too large, had the EXIF partially stripped by photoshop.
Go here and download the program: http://irfanview.com/ Go ahead - it's safe and it's free. It's great for downsizing pics, and allows you to perform other simple feats such as redeye reduction, sharpening, color correction, etc. And it leaves your EXIF intact. Go here and download the program: http://opanda.com/ Go ahead - safe and free. It's an EXIF viewer - try it. I resized your pic to 800 x 600 pixels. The Hun |

I'll stick with Photoshop.
I needed help with my camera because the pictures don't come out clear like they should and I was wondering if anyone could suggest settings to make the pictures clear. |

I don't wanna download a bunch of different programs. I have dialup, it took long enough just to get Photoshop.

try:
1. adjust exposure correction -1/3, maybe ? 2. different metering modes. and AF modes too. 3. shoot in "manual mode" and then in other[picture shows lack of exposure]. 4. use some post-processing. like a little amount Unsarp Mask and smart noise reduction. suggest XnView - free and[relatively]small. |

The EXIF information simply shows what settings were used for a particular photo.
The camera's bundled software can often give sufficient EXIF info. Photoshop is a fine program, sounds like you want to know how to use it. So perhaps you should post this question in the photo editing Software section... http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...gory.php?id=30 Because this is the Fujifilm camera section: Quote:
