I just bought it and am sorta disapointed with the quality of the pictures when indoor. Is 5MP Fine the highest setting there is?

5mp is more than fine for printing photo quality up to 8x10 and very good for 10x20s so the resolution is not the problem.

You may want to post a pic or a link to one so we can all have a look.

Some quick questions

What ISO where you shooting at ? The higher the ISO the more noise there is.

Did you use flash ?

Did you check the shutter speed the images were shot at?Too low and camera shake will ruin shots.

Are any sharpness and contrast settings correct/set to default ?

What post processing did you do ? Levels/curves in photoshop ? A quick sharpen? What else?

Did youactually print a pic out to see ? Looking at a pic on the computer (or even worse zoominginto200%) is not a good way to judge a pic, print it out and judge .

What I mean by that is a typical monitor set to 1024x768 is not even a megapixel, judging a5mp pic on that is difficult, and zooming intillyou can see every pixel is even worse ...
