Having read all the hype went out and bought one of these, but has mine got a fault. I have been using a Panasonic Lumix FZ18 for a couple of years without a problem. But when I take a shot with the HS10 the screen goes blank then comes back on again ready for the next shot, and continuous is only seven shots then I have to wait for them to save. On my Lumix I shot a photo then another no blank screen, and continuous was just that no problems as many as I wanted. I went to an air show today and the HS was useless as I would take a shot the screen would blank and I would lose the plane, and continuous was a waste of time. Is my camera faulty or have I set something wrong, help needed thanks.

This is normal for fujifilm camera. Panasonic is superior in this aspect. Fujifilm camera has superior image quality.
Buy the camera that works best for you. I recommend a panasonic for the type of image you want to capture |

I have just bought an HS10 and find, after taking a photo, the screen immediately shows the new pic then switches quickly (with a flash of blank) back to ready mode. Not a problem for me. I have never had a camera that responds quicker. Maybe more than one of you have a fault in your cameras. Or, am I just not up to scratch with fancy gear?

Take it back. From this point on you will continue to brood about it and every little niggle will become a mountain. This camera is clearly not for you.

Keep shooting with your Panasonic and get what you expect. The Fuji HS10 isn't made like the Panasonic that you have. Take it back if you can or sell it or well you should have done better homework if you are truly serious about what you want.
