Okay, finally have the "up close and personal" fireworks shots I have been waiting for and I am not disappointed!
Did not have to use the two second delay to avoid the "jiggles" seen in the 6/26 and 7/3 batches. All pertinent info is on the Picasa site for this folder (67 pictures). Also took just under five minutes of HD video that also looks good. Enjoy and Happy 4th to all!!! http://picasaweb.google.com/whzee62/...eat=directlink |

Very nice, indeed! I shot some neighborhood fireworks last night. The HS-10 made it a piece of cake.

Very pleased with both the sharpness and the color.
Its next trial will be an airshow in late August and two more in September (weather willing). A major flaw is the low res of the lcd which makes it almost useless in determing if your shots are just "off focus". I have looked at many shots on it that appeared okay and then when I uploaded them, clearly were not. I think in Fuji's case that we should (to paraphrase the Bard) "kill all the marketing division" as I cannot imagine the shortcuts on this camera were the result of the design and engineering teams. |
