Default need advice with low light indoor pics

can u turn the auto focus off on the 3800 when in low light rooms
abd get decent pics im not too botherd about using zoom indoors
as long as i can get a decent pic

Pop up your flash and leave your lens at it's widest angle and simply take your picture. You do not have to attempt to focus, just push the shutter release all the way down. Everything over about 3 feet will be focussed.
