This Chihuly rose, shot on black granite, positively GLOWS, don't you think? No special lighting, either. The only light was from a window.

You've still got it. The black background really makes it pop.

All your roses are fantastic. Here is my contibution to the rose garden. Taken from the top of a rickety step ladder with a strong breeze blowing. No special effects apart from good balance!
