@ bluzfrek
This site below by Dave Lloyd may help... He owns and uses the S100FS and the the HS10... He doesn't have the S200EXR but he does have an F200EXR which uses the same sensor, I believe... http://eyemindsoul.blogspot.com/ There are many tips and tricks at this site for all of these cameras as well as plenty of examples of what you can expect from them... Just look down the right side of the page for many of his tutorials, etc... Hope that helps... ![]() EDIT: One thing to be aware of is that though the S100FS and the HS10 are both supported by Adobe regarding RAW the S200EXR (I believe) is not, if RAW is important to you... ![]() Last edited by Wizzard0003; Nov 27, 2010 at 3:11 AM. |

Wow! Thanks for all of your responses, and the fantastic pictures. Looks like either camera will produce excellent pictures, and each one have the handy, and not so handy, features. I do appreciate the input, it all helps tremendously, except now I might have to look into a S100FS, also. lololololol.

I really like that moon shot, Eddie...!
You did great...! ![]() Oh, and I agree about the screen... It really helps when you're shooting something down low or if, like in your moon shot, you've got it pointed at an extreme angle as it saves your neck... ![]() Last edited by Wizzard0003; Nov 27, 2010 at 1:08 PM. |

No camera will satisfy your every desire, I know of none. A P&S leaves you locked on to pretty much "out of the box" capabilities, but that is quickly changing. I have noticed more people refer if the HS10 had the sensor, it would be the camera to have, as opposed to the other way around. Yes, it has a lot of tricks, but if you don't use them, do you really need them? I think you really need to determine what you will use the camera for, and that criteria should trump. Remember too, all the money in camera R & D is in the P & S market, that is where all the sales are, if you can wait a few months till spring, after the winter push and shows, you might have other choices as well.....just a thought. And, honest, one final thing....you must remember the nature of man, we will "honestly" give you our best recommendation, but it will be prejudiced.....anybody who says not, well, an old adage comes to mind, "A person lies the loudest, when he lies to himself....." Ask the question, Ford or Chevy.....good luck on finding a unanimous consensus ![]() |

Did I mention how great that 30x zoom is for getting that normally out of reach shot?
