Hi Guys.

I currently have a S7000 & will be looking to upgrade to a S9600 probably next year.
I am in need of some filters & a new adapter tube for the S7000.
So here's my first question, does anyone know the thread size for a 9600? As I have several options on filter/adapter size & idealy I don't want to have to buy them again after the upgrade.
Secondly does anyone know if the 9600 still needs a adapter tube or do the filters now screw directly to the lense?

I think the threading is 58mm. Yes, you can screw filters directly onto the lens. I bought a step down ring (58mm to 55mm) so that I could attach a TCON-17 to the lens. It works fine.

Than is good news. I just picked up an Olympus WCON-08 to adapt to the S-700 with a 46 to 55mm step-up ring. At this point, I am still awaiting the arrival of the step-up ring.
