Looking at getting into photography in a hobby - type way. Just picked up a S8000fd on eBay for £60 ex-display. Have not got a clue what I am doing with it so will probably be asking loads of questions.
![]() I know its not he HS10 (oh how I drool over that camera) but I cant justify the £399 price tag, maybe in a few years when I have the hang of the 8000fd. But it should get me started if nothing else. Also ordered a lens adaptor and UV filter. |

recently gave away my s80000fd, great outdoor camera.
it will not accept a lens filter, those are not threads on the lens. you can check this out with fuji. good camera to learn on. enjoy. |

Thanks, I will be back asking loads of questions, I love some of the photos on here. I know that I can't achieve some of them with this camera but it will be fun the learn what can and can't be done!
