It's not feasible to carry around a half dozen sets of lithium batteries. Lithium batteries are expensive. Lithium battery chargers are expensive. Lithium batteries can only be used in the device it's made for. Fully charged lithium batteries can't be bought at any retail establishment. I wouldn't use lithium batteries even if they were free, simply because I'd have to carry around AA's for most of my devices, then special lithium batteries only for my camera. No thanks, I'll stick with AA so I can have flexible and inexpensive battery options.

Stefh, I heard that rumor too, I think maybe it's going to be like the S9100, but, with more features?, i'm pretty sure that's what I heard, i'll keep my eyes and ears open for more.

one rumor I heard is it has a longer zoom but I hope it has some serious IS built in
