For those of you who own this camera, can you please tell me how your experience has been with the image stabilization features. Thanks

It doesn't have optical image stabilization (built into the lens or the sensor). It reduces blur by hiking the ISO. I had the camera for about a year and liked it. I wouldn't go beyond ISO 800 unless I had to, though - lots of noise.

It is a really really really nice camera. Had it since last May and am very happy with it. Its not a great camera for shooting basketball or football but the image shake reduction mode works ok for me just don't expect t to be good enough for football and such. I mainly shoot fire-rescue related stuff and its good enough for whatI need. Basically as said in the last post it raises the ISO up. Shooting at ISO 800 is ok but 1600 has a lot of noise.
This has been the best camera I have ever owned and will surelykeep using it for a much longer time. dave |
