Hello friends,
I have received my HS20EXR and this is advance cam from my all previous cam. I am very satisfied with HS20 with outdoor shoot. Right now I am exploring various settings to get good photos. My query is When I take photo indoor, I get more noise. I have already set noise to Low and I keep other settings like Tone,Color etc. to default. I have tried different setting for indoor shoot but I am not happy with the result. Can anyone help me with minimizing noise in indoor photography? What setting will help me? Thanks, Adrick Fujifilm Finepix HS20EXR |

ISO = 400 or less
Image size = M4:3 or less Alternatively try using Pro Low-Light in Adv. Mode.

Pro Low light mode is good but just for static shots !
For people or other scenes where you can't use pro low light, I suggest to use the flash. The flash of HS-20 is very good, and you can regulate it, so the object becomes more natural if you set it to -2/3 And if you don't want the flash, use the EXR low noise mode, which is not an miraculous, but it's better than others but limit the ISO up to 800, or 1600 max |

You say you've set noise to "low"- do you mean Noise Reduction,where you might set it to high(reduction- not noise..!)...

I suggest to keep the Noise reduction to normal !
For me it's the optimal setting for the camera ! |

I have noise reduction set to normal, low just doesn't do the job indoors. Also I have my ISO set to 1600Auto (meaning anything up to and including ISO600 will be selected by the camera.) I find that does the trick most of the time for me and if not I use the flash. ISo400 for indoors just won't cut it for me 90% of the time.
