First impressions:
  • Shot-to-shot time is noticeably faster. I'm using a class 10 SD card.
  • Higher ISO capabilities. I've had it up to 1600 with VERY little discernible noise. 3200 is where it starts to become noticeable.
  • The LCD is like watching a HD TV in comparison to the HS-10. Remarkable.
  • The light meter seems easier to control. In the HS-10, it moves so fast that it's hard to control.
  • Faster focusing in all modes.

I shoot in manual mode MOST of the time. However, I did some EXR mode experimentation and noticed no problems. Neither did I notice any darkening of the screen during auto-focus. I assume you mean the LCD and not the EVF. Haven't played too much with any of the burst modes.

Thanks, everyone! The HS-20EXR is quite an improvement over the HS-10 (and that's going some because the HS-10 is quite a camera!). I've VERY pleased with it. :)

Thanks, Sarah. :) I was a little concerned about IQ with 16mp on this sensor but obviously Fuji has things well in hand.
