These are all taken with my Fuji S5700. Its a nice backup camera, but I hope its the last time I have to use it. Problems with noise and lens not wide enough are the main issues. But its a nice little camera and great for the price.

You're right, it's a nice, little camera and does a fine job, as you proven here. What's the history of this place? Obviously, once owned by very affluent folks.

It was built for the guy who started the Bank of Canada and was the director for the gas company. If you google Spadina House there is lots of info as well as other pics.

Nice series, Bynx!! My dad had the Fuji S7000, an earlier model. After he was gone, I used it for awhile then sold it. Now I wish I still had it

A camera is a pretty personal item. If it was my dads, I probably wouldnt have gotten rid of it. They are small and sit nicely on a shelf.

I had a couple of 57/5800's- a very fine camera for the price.
I particularly liked the internal zoom mechanism(much better for attaching converters and saving battery power) and the relatively fast aperture at full zoom. They also seemed to have much better IQ than the later s1000/1500...! But yes, keeping iso's down was certainly a benefit and the "not so wide" 38mm could be limiting...! ![]() |
