How does the TCON -17 attach to the H20? I like what I see. Does it just slide over the original lens or is there actually threads in the end of my lens? Thanks...J4c

I believe that it has threads, just like any 58mm filter that works on the HS20EXR. But not having one yet... I'm going to let Gary confirm this.

The front of the lens barrel is 58mm. The TCON-17 is 55mm. Therefore, you need a 55mm-58mm step-up sizing ring. They are available online almost everywhere you find camera accessories or at your local camera shop.

If I can get all I need, then my moon shots should be even more awesome. Plus, I like doing wildlife pics. J4c

Actually, at those settings a tripod isn't absolutely essential. I've managed to get quite a few acceptable hand-held moonshots like this example, shot at !SO 100, f/8, 1/120 sec. ![]()

And also if you use wider blend you'll get faster shutter which is essential at 720 mm My settings are iso 100 F5.6 or 6.4 and speed about 1/400 or faster ![]() |
