24-120VR lens question

I have bought 2 VR lens for the S2. The 24-120 VR and the 70-200 VR.

I have figured it out using every way thinkable and came up with the answer: anyone that gets soft edges should do what I did, go to custom and turn off Subject Priority and then you will not see any soft edges. So in my opinion, it is "operator error"

My question for you is: Some people say I should see movement in the viewfinder and wait for it to settle and then take the picture but I don't see the movement but I keep hearing clicks. I found out from a camera shot that you don't physically see movement you go by the clicks you hear. I will post a picture when I download my pics.

Thank you,
Melissa

I don't hear any clicks from my 70-200 AF-S... I just wait for the shake to settle and then the movement is nearly gone and all I hear is a faint, low frequency hum which I assume to be from the VR mechanism. I don't know how it is with the 24-120, but I think it should be similar.
