I sent in my Fuji S1 Pro for servicing because the photos were out of focus and there was a yellow tinge to them. I was told over the phone that the CCD needed to be replaced and they asked for an approval of $300.00
The camera arrived today, I haven't tried it out; but what it says for the repair is: "Replace DC/DC PWB" "Flat Rate $300" Can anyone explain what this is? I called Fuji and they weren't all that helpful. Thanks! Jamie |

It doesn't look any thing like a CCD...
![]() DC/DC PWB - DC to DC converter Printed Wiring Board (circuit card) This is used to convert the 7.2V battery DC voltage to various other DC voltages required by the camera. Sound like one or more of the power rails are out specs affecting the color reference in the camera. The CCD for example is an analog device and requires different voltages than the A/D circuit or processor. |
