What is a good price to pay for the body and a good lense? I know the lense I have used before is a Sigma, atleast 300mm zoom. Not exactly sure. I would like to get something just like it though

I used one for school and loved it, then took it out to my lakehouse and whenever I go somewhere I get mad because all I have is a little kodak point and shoot and I HATE IT. The fact that you can't zoom in without it being blury, and of course not being able to focus on one object.

I wanna keep the price under 600 if possible.

I think this might be the lense I had used before, http://www.sigma-photo.com/lenses/le...mp;navigator=3
could of been slightly different, but along the lines of what I want

cools.. i'll butt out now cause i dont really spend time learning camera models and their capabilities....
however surely the nikon d40 is a good starting place for a comparison (seems to be the same price) also i own a d80 and i just cant fault it... yes there are better cameras.. but for the money i spent on it, what i use it for (and am capable of) its flawless

good luck!

KEH.com has them used in excellent condition for around $569 now (body only, no lens).

Fuji Digital Camera Listings at keh.com

It will use lenses designed for Nikon AF cameras.
