Hi,

Been lurking here for a while now. I'm about to jump off the fence and purchase an S3 over the much heralded D200. I justified it by having pleasing colors being more important than more megapixels/performance.

The only thing that my research hasn't told me is if S3 is sensitive to IR photography? I don't want to have it sent to be modified as an IR-only camera. Just wondering if anyone here shot with the S3 simply by putting an IR filter on the lens.

Thanks.

:|AlienSkin Software has a new program called "Exposure." It's very neat, in that, it lets you emulate many different types of B&W and color films put out by companies over the years. Infrared happens to be one of the filters used. I saw the results and they were pretty impressive, as were Daguerrotype, Fuji Velvia, and a veritable plethora of other films throughout the years. Paul Simon said, "Don't Take my Kodachrome away." Sure enough they didn't and it lives again. I'll be buying the $199 program by the end of May. http://www.alienskin.com

Check out the site for some really neat examples.:|
