My son has a s3100 Fuji camera that he bought refurbished. Little did he know that it didn't come with lens adapter, lens cap or strap. Needless to say I am looking for an adapter , not necessarily a Fuji one, but I can't find the size of thread needed to fit the actual camera. Does anyone know this? Also, is a hood the same as an adapter? Thanks in advance.

The s3100 has a 55mm filter thread. The hood and the adapter are the same size.

Hope this helps you out.

Thank you for your reply. I believe the large end of the adapter AR-FX3 is 55 mm. I'm trying to find the size of the small end, the end that actually screws onto the camera so I can buy a different adapter or hood. It measures about 44-45 mm? Thanks again. Laurie:-)
