That is a great blue! Beats all the snow we're getting over at the moment.

The real question is if they improved on the f30 :?

All,

There is a show in the UK called the Gadget Show, they review products. This week they had the New SONY, IXUS and F31.

Here is the link to the web version

http://gadgetshow.five.tv/jsp/5gsmai...pact%20Cameras

To cut to the chase the Cannon was rated 3rd, Sony 2nd, F31 first.

F31 came top in three tests they did.

Just bought my F30 together with the underwater casing for a total of US$390 in Hong Kong. I don't think that anyone can beat this price. There is a difference in price of US$70 to 120 between the F30 and F31 in Hong Kong. I have seen many discussions comaring the two. For me the price difference is simply too great to ignore. For those who are still hesitating and would like to get one now, my advice would be to go for the F30. The F31 is a very minor upgrade. Hopefully, there will be a F40 sometime next year.

I love German lens like Leica, Zeiss, Shneider etc. This is my first non-German lens camera and I am very pleased with it, especially for its low light capability and ease of use. Bought it mainly as a supplement for night scenes and underwater fun.

Considering the F31, thank you for the pictures.

May I ask what neat image is?

I hated the terminal adapter on the F10. Hate it on the new Sony's too. Actually I hate all proprietary connectors. Good to know they got rid of it on the F20/30/31.

Neat image is a software to remove noise from the picture, especially if u taken using high iso. For more info you can check at: http://www.neatimage.com

I at the same place. I am trying to see if the FD is worth the extra money. I have found the F30 for about $250 shipped but then you get a $50 MIR. I have found the F31FD for about $350 shipped. So the difference is about $100. That is a huge price difference for just FD.

I currently have the F10 and want to upgrade. I am thinking that maybe I should get the S6000FD for now and hold off on the F31FD unitl the price drops some. The S600FD can be had for $360 shipped and then there is a $50 MIR.

Thanks,
Frank
