I have an S9000 (aka S9500) which seems to use optics that are similar (identical?) to those on the S9100/S9600 and S6000/S6500 .

With my camera, I use an Olympus TCON-17 (which I had originally purchased for my S5200). To connect the camera and converter, I use 58-55mm step-down ring.

The resulting combination gives me 1.7x300mm which equals 510mm.

Whenever I use the converter, I take care to support it at all times, as it is rather heavy (even though its frame is non metallic) and leaving it physically unsupported could conceivably exert excessive stress on the camera's optical assembly. I have heard Fuji does not recommend the use of conversion lenses on the S9000/S9500
( http://www.s5000.net/phpBB2/viewtopi...69c93dbca56203 )

Fuji has, however, announced a wide angle conversion lens (WL-FXS6) for the S9600
( http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/presscentr...ex.php?id=1308 ). I do not how this unit's weight compares to the TCON-17 .

The Olympus TCON-17 can be found in many places on the WEB (I bought mine locally in a brick and mortar store).

Best of luck,
Darry

P.S. BTW, the TCON-17 gives rather good results with my S9000, IMHO .

AFAIK, the site only mentions wide-angle, no telephoto.
