Got the F30. My card reader, which has an XD card slot, won't recognize the card. Suggestions?

If you bought an XD card recently, it is likely it is an XD type M or XD type H card .

Card readers that do not explicitly specify compatibility with type M and/or type H XD are often able to read/write only standard XD cards .

To identify your card type, look for the presence/absence of a letter to the left of the card's capacity label.

The letter H means you have a type H XD card
The letter M means you have a type M XD card
No letter means you have a standard XD card.

General notes :

- Standard XD card are available up to 512MB in size

- Type M XD card are available up to 2GB in size, but are typically slower than standard XD cards

- Type H XD card are available up to 1GB in size and are usually faster than standard or type M card.

- Speed differences can vary greatly depending on which camera or card reader is used
