I was a fairly regular poster in this forum so I have returned to say Merry Christmas. I now own a Pentax DSLR which is my "serious" camera, but I still reach for the S7000 first when I am just recording events or travelling light. The ability to take video clips, get very close macro shots and still be a lightweight are the main reasons. Yes, a DSLR is far more responsive, but properly used the S7000 will beat most of the "prosumer" digicams from other manufacturers, and it offers exceptional in-camera b&w processing.

Well here is a picture of my "photo companion", and a very Merry Christmas (or whatever you choose to celebrate in this holiday season)to you all.

I love my S7000 and have taken plenty of wonderful photos with it over the years!

AndI always take my S7000 with me as a backup to my Canon DSLR for serious shoots.
