is there any quality difference ,
i mean i have a 1 gig CF card
if ya have a 1g CF and a 1 GIG Xd
whats the actuall difference when the image gets put on it?
or is the big hype all about price?

There is no difference as far as image quality is concerned. Digital images are nothing by the string of 1's & 0's. The big issue lately has been that some people don't like xD because it is not as common as some of the other formats, and the cards have typically been more expensive. But that seems to be changing now. Some card formats write more quickly and download more quickly. It's primarily a matter of personal preference. I use three different card formats myself. I don't really have any favorites.

I see ,

Yea i have an SD Card, i like my Compact Flash cards tho, im not too much for tiny cards.,

is the Microdrive any good, ive heared a bit about it, but ive read in my s9100 manual that microdrives can heat up .. which of course isnt good...

I have no idea about microdrives. I have never owned one, and don't plan on getting one. I have a couple of 1 GB CF cards and a couple of 1 GB xD cards that I use in my 9000. At this point, I don't have any plans on getting any more cards.
