More depth of field testing... I really like the manual focus on this camera.

Those look amazingly sharp, Machine. And you are getting the focus down great. Not a lot to complain about in those!

Hey Machine - can you read the info engraved on the bands of that duck in the original?

lol @ Duck. That's a swan mate.

I can make out the numbers yes but it's not great quality at full size.

I did take a couple of shots of ducks, but they are nothing special.

All my photos now and future will be published on www.panoramicpixel.co.uk/forums

I'm planning a trip to the local lakes this week, and I'm spending a week in Wales next week. Wales has some stunning landscapes for me to photograph

I've just got back from a trip to the lakes and I'm sorry to say that I'm a little disappointed in the performance today.

Don't get me wrong, they were great quality, but the camera seemed to struggle with higher UV light levels.
I photographed the same area with my P880 last summer, and the photos were more detailed with distant photography than the ones I've taken today with my S9600.

Could have been that the light conditions were much better during my trip there last summer, but it was still a clear sunny day today.

Here's a couple of todays photos.

Notice how the distance seems to fade on this photo.
