Thanks Bynx. I was hoping someone had some experience with one of those cheap lenes. Unfortunately I live in BFE (err... a very rural area) and there aren't any camera shops within a resonable range.

However, you could give me a tip or two on shooting the cars on track at Daytona. I have forgotten everything I knew for manual settings. I used to shoot manual all the time with my old Minolta 35 mm, but can't remember. Raise the aperture for catching the car frozen at high speeds, and lower to get motion? :?

Thanks Again

Another thing you can do is open the aperature for the quickest shutter speed and pan with the car. Be sure to keep panning while taking the picture and after as well so there is a smooth flow. Your action will be the background as a blur while the car will, hopefully, be nicely in focus. Also shoot the car when it is as perpendicular to you as possible. Then show us your results.By the way you can practice this anywhere before you get to the track to get the feel of panning.

Is the S700 worth the money? I'm saving up for a digital camera. I'm either going to get the Fujifilm S700 or save up for awhile for a dslr. Do you think the S700 would be a good camera for an amateur photographer? And does anyone have any experience with the opteka telephoto, fisheye, and wide angle lenses for the S700?

Thanks again Bynx!

Let's try another question. Will this camera use SDHC cards after the fireware update to 1.02?

There is a 1.02? I just intalled 1.01. I will have to check with Fuji for that upgrade and see what it offers. Thanks for the heads up.

I am so impressed by the pics you took back on page like 2. Some where bugs, and like outdoor at a cabin or something. What settings do you use.

Ive recently done a few photoshoots with this camera, and I cant post them anywher eon the net since they were for kids and the families wouldnt appreciate it, but I spoke with a professional photographer friend. She loved my style for shooting. I have a question for S700 camera owners

She mentioned using the eyes as as a focal point, which im working on. My question is she mentioned using a more wide open aperature like lowering the number to something of a 2.6, 3.2, or 3.6 which will cause the subject to be in focus and will blur the background

How do I do that?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aperture

that is pretty helpful. just read your manual to find out how to change aperture and then change it to your needs. sorry I can't help too much. I'm getting this camera very soon, hopefully I can help people more then.

Also, how much internal memory does the S700 have?

ok, thanks. I think I'm going to see if I can get a memory card ordered when I order the camera as an early birthday present.
