I sold mine on Ebay because I could not stand the CA on the edges of high contrast. Now the S8000FD is on the way to the shelves........:idea:

I agree the purple fringe on the edges of high contrast objects is a problem. But I guess its a trade-off for me. The camera wasnt that expensive and I dont have to worry about dust and scratches on a negative. Ive never had pictures so clear before and Im having fun taking pictures like I never did with my 35mm. Im only an amateur and cant afford a really expensive camera and this one is just fine for now.

Hi Bynx-

It looks like we are right back where we began this trek. Here are a couple of photos from the West Coast of Oregon where I live. It is a sleepy little fishing town on the Pacific with a population of just 8,000 people. The fishing boat photo was taken with my Nikon D-50.
