This was a first attempt at dropping large stuff into the fish tank. Here is another shot. Im not happy with the lighting. Perhaps when the weather is nicer I will do this outside.

I'm ordering a lens kit off of ebay. It includes a telephoto, a wide angle, lens cleaning kit, and small tripod. I'll review them when they get here.

Welcome back Exilmo. Did you escape or are you out on parole?

I screwed on a #3, #2 and #1 close-up filters to see maximum close ups. I shot a 25 cent piece. From the left.....minimum optical zoom -- 50% optical zoom -- 100% optical zoom -- 100% zoom and maximum digital zoom. Each shot was in Regular Macro mode so the flash was enabled. Lighting was by flash only. 1/1000 sec at f13.6 at ISO 100. Each is full frame with no cropping or alteration of any kind.

While I was goofing around, I set this up. I dropped some glycerine hand cleaner on a leaf. The glycerine is thicker than water and flowed slowly. The drop lasts longer and is more controlable. I held a fake rose behind the drop and what you see is what I got.

I'm on parole, not allowed to take anymore pictures, so, i've busted that, by abut 2734 pictures

hahaha.

The glycerine droplet is really cool, it adds more depth than water (I think anyway) since it's so much thicker.

BYnx-

Both the fish tank drop shots and the drip on the leaf are very creative and effective.

By selecting Digital Zoom it comes into effect when you have maxed out the optical zoom. In a way it increases the range, but no in actual fact.
