Dang Bynx.....you are doing some amazing stuff with this little camera

Been ugly here of late....snow is even sticking after a heavier flurry

Snowing a wee bit right now, but suppose to clear in a few and get into the upper 40's, with 50's this week.

It has been a long hard winter

how do you use both optical and digital zoom?
You use both by just continuing zoom when you've maxed out optical, you may need to press the zoom in button again, if it's not working, you may need to inable it, to do that you have to start the camera, push "menu", then go into "set-up"... then you go down the menu screen and you'll see "Digital Zoom", if it's off, make sure it's highlighted, push the right button, and go up, or down, whichever, and make sure "on" is highlighted.. then push ok.

I just wanted to see if I could do it. These are soap bubbles shot in the dark. What can I say......I was bored again.

Bynx-

I must admit they really are pretty soap bubles. Another interesting technique.

I just love strawberries, and this was no exception. After it became immortal it was quickly consumed.

Hi everyone! I'm very seriously looking at the S700 right now, and the pictures in this thread have blown me away.

About 15 years ago, I was pretty handy with a manual SLR camera and a darkroom ... but it's been a while since I've had a camera that was much more than point and shoot. The manual settings on the S700 appeal to me a LOT - along with that big bad zoom.

Has anyone tried or had much luck with conversion lenses on this camera? I'd really like to get back into photography, but a dSLR is still out of my reach, and I can pick up the S700 for about $130 right now.

I think this is the longest running thread I've ever seen on a forum anywhere!! Keep it going!
