Default Fuji S5000

I just picked up my fuji S5000 today. I will try and get some pictures uploaded tonight. I am building a computer for my boss so this might take a while.

Here are just a few "quickies" indoors.
I hope to get out in the natural light today and see what this camera will do.

Nice pictures... I especially like the lizard one.
I just bought a Fuji FinePix S5000z too, and so far I'm really happy with it. All I can say is that, comparing to my old Canon PowerShot A40, Fuji has a little more noise...

IMHO, Canon's ISO 50 (ok, not real 50, more like 70-80 probably) is "cleaner" than Fuji's ISO 200. I'd put Fuji's ISO 200 somewhere between Canon's ISO 100-200.

Cheers,
veedee.

I almost forgot.... I want to buy some new lenses for S5000. Besides Fuji's WL-FX9 (wide) and TL-FX9 (telephoto) are there any other available at the moment with a 55m diameter that would work with S5000 and you recommand?

I'm mostly curious about some close-up lens.

Cheers,
veedee.

Not sure. I have no plan to add on any other lens adapter. Sorry.

closeup lenses are available in the 55mm size for your s5000. they can be found on many online vendors. major brands are hoya, tiffen, and cokin. they can be very chea or very expensive, coated and uncoated, single lens for each magnification or multilensed lenses for each magnification (the most expensive).
i have the hoya multicoated set of +1, +2, & +4. they seem to work pretty well.

hellos,
djb, thank you for your prompt reply.

Ok, I have checked around local stores (I'm from Transylvania, Romania, so harder to get stuff from ebay ) and I found some 49mm macro lenses made by Hoya (+1, +2 and +4). They are not new, but their rating is big (10 out of 10) and the price is about 23 euros (25$ i think) + taxes.

Now problem is I need an adapter from 55mm to 49mm, right? Or are there Hoya close-up lenses with a diameter of 55mm?

Thanks,
veedee.
