While sitting in my office bored today, waiting for the DSL repair guy, I decided to attempt some macro shots with this FUJI S9100. Not bad I must say.....

Great thread.

The S9000 is a much maligned camera. It deserves more respect than it gets.

On another forum I can read comments such as, "We haven't seen very much good from the 9xxx series of Fuji cameras." I realize there are better cameras, but my 9000 does a pretty good job for me. This picture was taken about 10 days ago. I was concerned that there would be a lot of smoke from the nearby fires. But the air was remarkably clear.

This is a three-image panorama that was put together using Photoshop. There is actually a bend in the river, but it almost looks like distortion in this image. This was as large as I could crop the image, and I don't like the foreground particularly. But I do like the overall image. Again, this was taken with my S9000.
