Since I've bought my Fuji S700 I've been very very happy with it.

My only problem is the video function.Outdoors with natural light (and indoors with good light!) the video is lovely.

The only problem is,with a bit of bad light the video becomes grainy. With my previous Casio 1050 you could change the brightness/white balannce in video mode and this would help counteract any bad light, with the S700 I'm pretty sure you can't do this? You stuck with one video setting

Or is there some secret way you can change the brightness etc?!!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Its funny reading your inquiry. Ive had my camera since mid June and I have never even tried doing a video with it. I look forward to seeing your problem solved.

Well, it's SUPPOSE to fix itself, however, it doesn't, I have a problem with that too. I've tried all the buttons and such but, no difference, I use another camera for video.. hahaha.

My S5700 (700) takes nice outdoor movies with zoom but is also noisy indoors. Nothing you can do about it.

My F20 takes nice low noise movies indoors but then it's known for it's low light quality anyway with a larger Super CCD c.w. the S700's smaller standard CCD.

with VGA-size movies - one of the best on the market results.
need HD ? buy Kodak P&S or even others.
for low-loght - you need different equipoment of at least - aux light, like leds illuminator, like i use in underground ruines&engineering network.

p.s. little oversized, duet to MJPEG, but this is not issues, bcs SDHC is cheap and high quality, guaranteed by this way.
