Default s7000 available

According to some folks, some retailers (Best Buy) have their first limited shipments of the s7000. SOme online "stores" willhave them shortly, if they haven't updated their site yet. First come first served, and a more thorough launch will happen towards the end of October...

The Best Buy Store in Thousand Oaks, CA has one on display and I assume in stock. Saw it this afternoon. They're on Moorpark Rd. not too far from the 101.

-Called Best Buy at 805-494-8370...
Two different people told me that s7000 is not in stock or on display. :?

-Called Fuji back today at 800-659-3854...
It seems that there was a shipping problem last week, but I was told that "retailers are getting the s7000 over the next 10-15 days", and "no list of specific retailers is availible yet". "Try back late next week".

I just cant wait

I saw an S7000 at a Best Buy in north Seattle on display. $799. It wasn't drawing too much interest except from me. I would check a Best Buy near you for S7000 availability. Apparently, they have some kind of dibs on the first S7000's to hit the retail market.

I picked up a s7000 this weekend to fiddle with in Best Buy. This camera is huge! I could barely hold it. It looks nice but is too cumbersome for me. I prefer the feel of the s5000. Something interesting did happen though. For some odd reason I asked the salesman to see the digital Rebel and I can't stop thinking about it!
