Hi,

My S9500 has developed a problem and before I send it off to be looked at/repaired I was wondering if any one could shred some light on a possible cause / problem.

A sample image is available here:

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/171563/DSCF0003.JPG

The camera is also over exposing on most shots taken outside.

Any help would be greatly received.

Where would be the best place to get the camera repair?

Thanks

Hope it's still under warranty, because it looks like your sensor has gone belly-up.

Do all your pics have those stripes on them, or was this one taken through venetian blinds?

Hi,

Thanks for the diagnosis. Cameras just over 2 years didn't take out extended warranty

Anyone give me a rough estimate for the cost of repair?

Tried all images size from 2M-9M(f) on auto. All images have the same lines.

Replaced the batteries, nothing changed.

Thanks

Don't panic - call Fujifilm. They have had issues in the past with some of their sensors, and the cameras were repaired without charge, regardless of warranty status. Maybe an email and a call...be nice.

I don't know how much it would cost to replace a sensor...I'm not even sure that is the problem with your camera - I have seen sensors go bad, and the pictures looked like yours.

Good luck - let us know how you make out.

Hi deejwise

This happens with my S6500fd also and the image is just like yours. It is over exposed and it also like lines accross it just like yours.

I messed around EV settings and take few different pictures and the issue got fixed but it would happen again the next day. I am trying to find out why.

Did you contact FujiFilm regarding yours?
