Default S602 or S7000

Hi there, well im fairly new to the digital photograpy thing and still not too sure on al the different terms etc. I have had a Olympus C220zoom for about a year now but i am looking at getting a better camera.

I will be mostly be taking pictures of cars or at motorsport events most of which are either indoors or late evening/nite here so i want a camera that can have a better long range flash added to it.

I have been looking at the S602 and the S7000. would the s7000 be worth the extra money over the s602 when the pics will only be going on the internet or be printed out defnatly no bigger than A4, ie would i ever make use of the extra resolution of the pics?

The S7000 can take a 3mp shot using an 800 ISO. The 602 can only take a 1mp shot at 800 ISO. If you are looking to crop your pics, the more megapixels, the better. Unless you have a good external flash, the noise levels in low light situations are very high in both models. All potential S7000 buyers are waiting for a full review to come out at dpreview.com.

And more than that I'm waiting some constructive discussion with the real end users.

ok thanks think ill wait a while longer for the release of the S7000 anyway!

Ok im not very good with all these terms yet but the ISO has to do with the shutter speed? higher is quicker, good for fast moving sport shots? but does it add extra noise?

Thanks
