Well, I really don't see the point of using a wifi sd card. You need a wifi router and a pc connected to the network.

Just pop out the card and use the card reader or something. One other thing. I doubt the camera is capable of turning off the wifi. So if its on all the time, you get serious battery drain.

there is a compatibility chart as well
http://support.eye.fi/product-info/c...mera/fujifilm/

Seriously, it looks good and all but remember wifi is on all the time and battery drain is bad from my opinion. Don't quote me on that since i didn't bother reading the specifications or usage. It could be that the wifi pings for a server and this also takes power but could be less if it just pings.

an update. there is a section on battery life. It says battery is not noticibly shorter but it does drain but it drains more during transfer of data. You also need to set your camera's standby mode to a longer length to allow for data transfer. I suspect after taking pictures, you will need a full battery charge to transfer data.

In all cases, I personally do not want something like this since it requires you to connect your camera to power if low in power. also, if your going to mess with cables, it is just best to pop out sd card and just transfer the pictures over mannually. this way, you can avoid spending time adjusting camera sleep mode or power adapters. Just pop out the card and transfer mannually.

Looking at the videos, I kinda like the idea.....

but here is something to look forward to.

Wireless power charger!!!!

wireless SD CARD!!!

when these two come out, then trully will this be a feature i am looking forward to. WIreless battery chargers are good and work. It works by vibrating the table top and the internal battery has a lever that pumps power to the charger wirelessly. Amazing stufff!

now my only concern is if it will mess with my camera optics? then solid state cameras are in order....but now im rambling.
