first thing ive noticed is you cant focus at 720zoom if your subject is near you, lets say 3-4 feet away? second the focus is having problem with shiny things. errrrr, thats all for now i guess........

Manual focus is awesome because what it does is it gives you zoomed in box in the middle that will help you focus on the object

for me it's awesome but i havent done much testing. the battery supplied didnt last long.
When you are using full zoom on subjects near you, hit the Macro button and it should focus.

I got 400+ shots (pics, videos, burst-mode, and pics with flash) with my 2000 mAH Enloops. The red battery indicator had come on at around 150 pics, but I kept on shooting.

There must be something wrong with the three sets of Eneloops I have. I can take them straight out of the charger and I get 30 shots if I'm lucky! I get about 200-225 with alkalines, for crying out loud. I followed the instructions and discharged 'em.

i think there is something wrong with the battery setting..... After few minutes of using it already showed the red battery. Then i tried to use a battery tester this morning and it still shows that there is still charge left.

maybe it's the hs10. my battery setting is in Nimh

It'sd those really good shots your getting. They're sucking the life out of your batteries!

Hello,
i have used my HS10 now for 7 days and i had the same odd indication of low batteries with a new set fully charged. The first set only lasted 1 day and about 100 pics.
The second (also new set) batteries is still inside with no warning from the red indicator.
Maybe the hHS10is learning them.... and ofcourse the setting was on NiMh in the camera.
Here i also got a very short life out of the original Alkaline batteries suplied with the HS10.

Greetings from Belgium

Default Firmware update 1.1

I just did the firmware upgrade , and took a few shots , i must say it looks to be improved in low light.
The setting was on "auto" and it came out very clear here indoors , more testing will be done tomorrow.
Who else did the upgrade ?
