Default Fuji HS10 or Pentax X90

I will either buy a Fuji HS10 or a Pentax X 90
The winner wil be BEST IQ at 1 X and 26 or 30 X
Why else would you buy a camera ?
Lots of Bells and whistles , but poor IQ ?
If the are both the same ( IQ ), it will be an HS10

Just my 2 cents , or $400 to $500

I don't know what the HS10 IQ will be like, but I do know that the X90 will be horrible, because it is almost identical to the X70, which is horrible. If you ever plan on using an ISO over 200, you'll be quite disappointed.

If the pentax x70 is horrible the Nikon P90 and Fuji S1500 must really suck.

It all depends on what you want from the camera. No such thing as a perfect jack of all trades type camera. If you are so concerned about IQ move on up to the big boys. You are pretty close to that price range. If you want a fixed lens do it all camera, I would also take a strong look at the FZ35. The FZ35 is a far better camera then the X70 and probably the X90. Will probably be very close to the IQ of the HS10. Just my humble opinion...

ancientritual is 100% correct! You would be much better served by the Panasonic FZ-35/FZ-38, which is now at its all time low price in the USA. It really is a night and day difference when you compare the FZ35 to X-70 or X-90, the FZ-35 wins every time.

See for yourself, Fred...

Compare the identical images, side-by-side. They didn't test the S1500, but they did the F100. Plug in a cam, then scroll down to the Still-life ISO series...enjoy.
