Default F70 - Random musings

Have been playing around with this cam for sometime now and been very happy with its performance for the compact size. Will post some mixed ISO photo

The flash is weak like most pocket cams but I usually like to shoot without flash with this cam Haven't been so confident a long time to shoot indoor/poor lit shots without flash

Didn't realize the light dirt green stripe at bottom while shooting the image

This next photo would look awesome with HDR

Pic of my colleague, it was a nice pose
Couldnt do much to remove the side objects out of image.

100% crop, High ISO 1600, DR400 vs DR100

First is DR400 and then DR100. There is some mild noise increase/ loss of detail. If possible always shoot at DR100 for low light/high iso

Spring has started here in Beijing and got some time to go around finally. Some more random shots.

Beijing Air Quality is really low which causes tiny white spots to appear on long zoom shots. Following are full tele shots

Some DR800 shot, with EV -0.33 the highlights would have been perfect

And finally one High ISO shot, No Flash

i came to the same conclusion regarding the DR. which I believe i added to the "how to shoot it thread". so its nice you were able to replicate

you have posted some nice images here. glad that the f70 continues to work out for you.

it is one of those cameras that the longer you use it, the better it gets. as it takes some time to figure out what settings work best for your own photographic needs

Thanks Dustin
One more interesting feature which I remember reading in Kim's Blog and also confirmed in my normal shooting is Flash + DR is Software DR and not the hardware binning, I am not sure why they did this but it would have been nice if they had a firmware fix for this :/

Todays pic

Played with the saturation and and cropped out the bottom/side as it had some obstruction. Without those lit windows it would be perfect, maybe a little photoshop will help

Hi,

May I ask where is a good place to put images with regard to the F70 ?

I have posted some under my profile, but relish the feedback from users who are more offay with the little fuji powerhouse. Yes, I like it.

If you are looking from pure critic and comments then there is a seperate section for that. I have just created this thread to show the nice pics taken by f70

You can create a new thread if you like
